It was cold for the first few days in Copenhagen but the sun was out for the better part of our week in Denmark's capitol. Trees and flowers were in bloom and it definitely felt like spring. It was a wonderful change from Canada where we had snow the week before we left for our month long trip to Denmark and Paris, France.
A favourite activity in Copenhagen is a stroll down "Strøget", the famous pedestrian street. I found myself zig zagging my way down "Strøget" and ventured down several side streets I had never seen before. I made a quick stop at "Marmor Kirken" (Frederik's Church) located near Amalienborg Castle and walked through "Nyboder", the colourful former naval barracks. We also made a first time visit and took a tour of the Copenhagen Opera House, one of the most expensive opera houses ever built. It was certainly a worthwhile stop.
Last but certainly not least we spent some amazing times with my brother, nephews and many of our Copenhagen friends. It was so nice to reconnect with everyone.
Till next time :)
