Last Day of World Cup in Vancouver

Despite the loss in the round of 16, Columbia soccer fans are dancing along Granville Street in Vancouver

Columbia and Swiss Fans Celebrate

It’s been fun to have the World Cup action in Vancouver, albeit with a few sour grapes, as exuberant ticket pricing ruled out actually attending any of the games at BC Place. A shame, really.

Canada had a good run; congrats. Yesterday was the final game in Vancouver, with Colombia facing Switzerland. It came down to penalty kicks, and the Swiss took the final straw.

But here is the story of today’s post. Despite a heartbreaking loss, the Colombian soccer fans continued partying and dancing along Granville Street. Colombian and Swiss fans celebrated side by side despite the game's result.
