Vancouver Canadians Baseball

End of an inning with the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium

Vancouver Canadians Baseball

Grandma is a big baseball fan. She’s 84 and loves the Blue Jays and rarely misses a game on TV. Watching baseball on TV is one thing, but watching a live game is altogether a different experience.

We had tickets to a Blue Jays game in Toronto last fall, but we ended up canceling our trip to Ontario as Grandma made plans to move to BC.

To make up for the missed Blue Jays game, we attended a game over the weekend, with the Vancouver Canadians versus Eugene (Oregon).

It was a wonderful summer day and “kids’ day” at Nat Bailey Stadium, creating a festive atmosphere.

We had hot dogs, popcorn, and everything that goes with a good baseball game.

As a photographer, I appreciate that you are allowed to bring your camera gear and move freely around the stands to capture the game from various angles.

Perhaps needless to say, I love black-and-white photography for baseball photos.

The photos in this post were captured with a Sony A7V  camera and Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II, Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.2, and Voigtländer APO-Ultron 90mm f/2 lenses. (Links go to my reviews).
