Photo Essay

Central Copenhagen Street Photography and a Concert With the Bygones

Unexpectedly, I found myself in Copenhagen in the fall of 2024, en route to Paris for a car event, from which I will post photos later.

Denmark is my home country, and Copenhagen has a special place in my heart. When I found out I was going to Copenhagen, it occurred to me that one of my favorite guitar players, Johua Turner, was performing in Copenhagen as part of a duo with Alison Young.

The Byskov boys are meeting in Copenhagen. The photo on the left is of my friend Søren and me. Then we have the two Sørens on the right, who share the same first and last name but are otherwise unrelated. Two times Søren Byskov! Yes, the guy on the right is my older brother :)

The show with the Bygones was phenomenal, such a talented duo who surprised us song after song. If you get a chance, check them out.

I have been following Joshua Turner on his YouTube channel for several years now, where he showcases original content as well as covers and collaborations with many artists, namely Carson McKee, as part of the duo named “The Other Favorites”.

Below is a selection of photos captured on a somewhat gloomy day in Copenhagen. I have used the Leica SL2-S and Panasonic Lumix S 85mm f/1.8 (link goes to my reviews).

The photos in this article are made using a Leica SL2-S, and Panasonic Lumix S 85mm f/1.8 lens. (links to my camera and lens reviews).
